By road from London (see map) If you are coming from London, you will need to take the M25, then the M23. Follow the signs to Gatwick airport. These signs will soon change to Gatwick Airport/Brighton. Please continue towards Brighton. You will soon pass Preston park on your left. Continue on and follow signs to the Brighton seafront. As you approach the seafront, you will pass the Royal Pavillion on your right. In front of you will be the Brighton Pier. At the round-about, please take the first left. This is the Marine Parade (A259). The first shop on your left will be 'Harry Ramsden'. Go past the second set of lights, then turn into the 5th street on the left (Charlotte street). We are at no. 8 on your right.
By trainYou can take a taxi or a bus from outside Brighton station or even walk if you prefer. Taxis are readily available at the taxi rank to your left as you exit the station, and will be a pleasant 3 or 4 minute journey. Buses can be caught from the stop right outside the station. Hop onto a no. 7 or 27 and ask for the Bedford Street stop along St. James street. Charlotte street is a few minutes from the stop. Walking from the station is a bit of a trek if you have a lot of luggage on you. Follow the straight road you see as you walk out of the station (Queens road). At the clock-tower junction, turn left down North street. Go over the set of crossroads and along St. James street in front of you, then along Upper St James street. Charlotte street will be on your right. We are at no. 8. Depending on how fast you walk, it could take upto 30 minutes from door to door.
From Heathrow AirportThe easiest way to travel from Heathrow to Brighton is via the "Jetlink" coach/bus service. It takes about 2 hours, and arrives at 'Pool valley coach station'. From here, you can either catch a cab (2 to 3 minutes) or you can walk if you prefer (about 12-15 minutes). It is advisable to take a taxi if you are carrying a lot of luggage.
From Gatwick AirportThe easiest way to travel from Gatwick to Brighton is via the "Jetlink" coach/bus service. It takes about 40 minutes, and arrives at 'Pool valley coach station'. From here, you can either catch a cab (2 to 3 minutes) or you can walk if you prefer (about 12-15 minutes). It is advisable to take a taxi if you are carrying a lot of luggage.
